Like so many others, I first came to the mountains to get away from the fast pace of city life. The combination of natural beauty and friendly small town atmosphere made Ashe County a perfect fit for me. Since then I have worked tirelessly to learn everything I can about Ashe County. Today, I am considered an expert on the area and what it has to offer.
Shortly after arriving in Ashe County, I established Buyer’s Choice Realty, a firm offering exclusive buyer representation. Over the years, I have worked with hundreds of satisfied buyer clients, finding them the right property while protecting their interests and their wallet. In 2006, I established Mountainscape Realty and we moved to our present location in Jefferson. Since then the firm has expanded while enjoying great success.
I hold degrees in both criminal justice (bachelor) and business administration (masters). I am also a veteran of the United States Air Force and a proud member of the local Jefferson’s Rotary club of which I have served as a past president. I currently serve on many local boards and committees which provide me with an opportunity to give back to the community I love so much.
I have been an Ashe County resident for seven years. My husband and I along with our two children have been visiting family here in Ashe for the past twenty plus years. Having two young children at the time we realized that this is where we needed to raise our family. Dominick and I are very happy with our decision. Dom has been an electrician for over twenty years and is licensed in the state of North Carolina as well as the state of Florida
Our son, Dominick is a senior at Ashe County High School. He is a member of JROTC Drill and Rifle team Program. Our daughter, Gabriella is an junior at Ashe County High School. She is also a member of the ROTC Drill Team as well as a member of the HOSA club. Dominick and I are very proud of both of them. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for them.
I enjoy my career as a Real Estate Agent at Mountainscape Realty. My goal here is to show everyone exactly what Ashe County has to offer. I love experiencing all four seasons and just the pleasant simplicity of mountain living.
Born in Hickory NC and raised in Ashe County NC I have spent most of my life in the Mountains of North Carolina. Even in college I did not stray from the majestic beauty of the mountains as I attended and am a graduate of Appalachian State University. My love for the outdoors led me to a degree in Recreation Management with a Business Minor. Real Estate gives me the best of both worlds, a profession that is business oriented, but yet I get to spend my time touring and admiring the beauty of my mountainous home.
I have been married for three years to my wonderful husband TJ Murphy, who has also spent most of his life here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Together with my stepdaughter, Bryson (8) and my son, Talon (2) we have had many adventures and memories made hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains, Canoeing the New River, gardening, canning, fishing, picnicking, and any other outdoor related activity we can think of. My husband and I are faithful and active members of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Lansing. We participate in the choir, teach Bible School, and help with various other activities.
I believe Ashe County is an Oasis in the desert. Living here is like being on a private getaway. You have the opportunity for adventures with activities such as hiking, canoeing, camping, etc. You also have the wonderful solitude of a quiet mountain town. As you visit the small local shops and dining you can feel the laid back atmosphere and relax knowing there is no rush, just time.
Please call me. I would be happy to assist you in your search for the perfect mountain property.
I am a lifelong resident of Ashe County, growing up in the Grassy Creek area. My ancestors were some of the first in the area (1777). I have been married to my wonderful wife for 29 years. We have one son and four grandchildren.
I worked several years in construction and farming so I know houses and land. I moved into the real estate business a little over 11 years ago. This seemed a logical choice considering my past work history. My second listing was a foreclosure and have specialized in them ever since. I also like working for private sellers, assisting them in moving properties that they need sold. I have a very intimate knowledge of Ashe and surrounding counties and know most of the back roads in the area. If you are wanting to find an agent that knows the county like the back of their hand, give me a call.
I am also very active in my church (Trinity Baptist) and have served as a deacon for several years. I enjoy most all outdoor activities and spending time outdoors.
I was born and raised in Toombs County, GA where the Vidalia Onions grow. After high school, I served briefly in the United States Air Force. After military service, I began a career in the retail auto industry, eventually working my way up to Service Manager.
Later on, I established my own business in Atlanta, GA as a warranty administrator and claims processor. In this capacity, I would teach and perform audits for car dealerships for the next 15 years. During this time, I also became a Lemon Law Consultant for one of the Big Three auto companies.
After having lived in the South for eight years, in 2004, the wife and I decided to relocate to the coler climate and slower pace of beautiful Ashe County, North Carolina. I currently volunteer with the Ashe Outreach Ministry's Mobile Meals program and I am an Elder with Life Christian Center in West Jefferson. I am happily married to my wife Kathleen who currently works with the Ashe County Chamber of Commerce. We have a daughter Wendy and a granddaughter Bailey.
I received my NC Real Estate License in 2009 and have been helping clients to find the perfect home ever since. I would be happy to assist you in way I can.
I could not think of a more beautiful place to live than here in the High Country of North Carolina. I came to Ashe County with my family in 1998 and currently reside in the Fleetwood area with my wife Christina and our four children. I am an active member of Trinity Baptist Church in Deep Gap and enjoy bowling and spending quality time with family.
I began my real estate career in 2006 after working for 18 years in the printing industry. I became a real estate agent to fulfill my desire to assist folks who had dreams of owning a home in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I am dedicated to each of my clients and am committed to serving their real estate needs.
In addition to serving my clients through Mountainscape Realty, I am also the owner and manager of High Mountain Cabin Rentals. In this capacity I work with clients to market and manage both short and long term rental properties. Whether you are looking to purchase your dream home or if you have property you wish to place in our rental program, I would be more than happy to assist you!
